TKG is looking to design, engineer and oversee the fabrication of unique private theaters for homeowners who appreciate a high level of aesthetic and technical design. No project is too big or challenging for the TKG Team!

What are the specific roles of each TKG Partner?

In a nutshell, Theo Kalomirakis will create the aesthetic vision and architecture of the theater; Steve Haas will engineer the acoustic design, support the integrator with audio systems configurations, and perform audio calibration; Maria Deschamps will work closely with both Theo and Steve to produce the interior design and contract documents for the Theater. Both Steve and Maria and their teams will oversee the construction and fabrication from their perspectives.

They have worked and respected each other for many years and wanted to offer something that is truly nonpareil. Combining their talent and experience there are no constraints to opulance or performance. Their coordination within the group and among other project personell, including AV integrators and general contractors, is seamless and extremely detailed. This initiative is to make the unimaginable design a reality outfitted with technological astonishment.

Does TKG sell products?

In order to ensure that the entire design is realized from start to end, TKG will supply and oversee the installation of interior and acoustic elements of the project. TKG is not  responsible for supplying, installing or servicing any AV equipment. This will be provided by your AV integrator, if you do not have a tusted integration partner we will recommend a few qualified integrators in your local region.

What is TKG’s role with the AV systems and AV integrators?

Although TKG does not supply or install AV equipment, we do work directly with the AV integrator. This ensures the proper technology is chosen and calibrated in relation to the aesthetics as well as optimal video performance and acoustic design of the theater. This  includes aspects such as speaker placement and configuration, projector and screen placement, controlling noise pollution coming fromthe projector and HVAC systems and other critical details to make sure the space is perfected for viewing and comfort.

Does Theo work on every TKG project?

TKG Theaters are truly a magnum opus which take an immense amount of time, This limits Theo to 2 or 3 theaters per year. Theo personally chooses and leads these projects according to the synergy he experiences during a client consultation. All other projects will be reviewed and approved by Theo to assure every theater is laudable of the TKG brand and high standards.

What are the space requirements for a TKG private cinema?

The size of the space needs to be practical for optimal performace and can meet the gold standard experience TKG is known for. A general rule of thumb would be nothing less than a an area starting at 500 square feet with a ceiling height of at least 10 feet. TKG will consider unique opportunities that may deviate from this on a case by case situation.

Would TKG renovate my existing theater?

TKG’s primary focus is creating unique spaces from the beginning, but this wouldn’t preclude TKG from evaluating your current theater and discussing an updated solution for you.

How long does it take to design a TKG theater?

Accepted Answer

The time it takes to design a TKG theater is dependent on many factors: The size of the theater. The complexity of the aesthetic design. The level of technology to be implemented. TKG starts the concept phase first, which is presented at the beginning of the project. However, to complete your extremely detailed and coordinated design documents it can take on average between eight and sixteen weeks.
